University Scholarships Description: If you are a new College of Medicine student, you will be asked to attach a narrative describing your professional and personal goals, how you became interested in medicine, activities demonstrating such qualities as leadership and social commitment, talents and interests outside the field of medicine, and any other information you think might be helpful for scholarship consideration.Please have that document prepared so that you will be ready to attach it and submit the scholarship application electronically.

If you are a continuing student, you have the option of listing extracurricular activities, honors and awards instead of attaching a narrative.You will be asked to supply your estimated costs for 2011-2012 (tuition and fees; books, supplies and medical equipment, laptop to College of Medicine specifications, living expenses, childcare, and miscellaneous) and Total Estimated Costs. Your estimated income will be requested (available savings/investments; part-time work; spouse’s net income if applicable; other family assistance expected). Total your estimated income. Take your estimated costs and subtract your total estimated income. This equals the Total Financial Aid Needed.
